Brews, Bands & Boots Festival at Snook Haven

Snook Haven, the restaurant set smack-dab on the wild and scenic Myakka River, invites you to celebrate Labor Day at its annual Brews, Bands & Boots Festival, featuring 20 brews by our local breweries and live music by Bodie Valdez, the Randy Stephens Band and festival headliner the Daisy Dukes Band. $6 Saturday at Mote Aquarium

This Saturday, and every Saturday through September, Florida residents of all ages can enjoy Mote Aquarium for just $6. “Monsters or Myths” is the theme of this month’s Family Night at the South Florida Museum, with a build-a-monster scavenger hunt, a “Manatees and Mermaids” presentation in the aquarium, and a special 5 p.m. screening of the Disney film, Hercules, in the Bishop Planetarium.
