The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast will host a Food Truck Friday Night series beginning next Friday, June 10, and continuing monthly through September. Hosted at the foundation's HQ at Bay Preserve in Osprey, the event is a fantastic way to get the family out of the house to enjoy nature and a sunset along Little Sarasota Bay.

For the first event of the series, guests can enjoy hot dogs, nachos, cheeseburgers and more from the Deez Diner food truck. After dinner (or before—we don't judge!), enjoy Hawaiian shaved ice from Kona Ice to help conquer the warm summer night.

Adults and kids will also have the opportunity to learn about our community through exhibition tables hosted by local nonprofits like the Asolo Repertory Theatre and the Conservation Foundation. Andrew from Bugz Rule will be there too, teaching about the importance of insects, arachnids and other fascinating creepy crawlies.

This series will be free and open to the public; however, in order to ensure it's prepared with plenty of parking, the Conservation Foundation asks that interested parties RSVP.

If you can’t catch this month’s event, don't worry. Future Food Truck Friday Nights are scheduled for July 22, August 19, and September 9, with different food trucks and exhibits each time.

The first Food Truck Friday Night will take place on Friday, June 10, from 5-8 p.m. at the Bay Preserve located at 400 Palmetto Ave., Osprey. To RSVP, click here.
