BMX World Cup First Major Event at Revamped Sarasota Track

The world’s best BMX racers, including newly crowned Olympic champions, will race for the World Cup title at the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, scheduled to take place Saturday, Oct. 8, and Sunday, Oct. 9, at the newly renovated Sarasota BMX track, 1590 N. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota. Tickets are now on sale. Prices range from $20 to $135. The track was originally built in 1974, making it one of the oldest facilities in the nation. Sarasota County recently spent $2.4 million to renovate it.
