Manatee County saw increases in the number of tourists visiting and in tourist spending in 2017, according to new data released by the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau on Thursday. The total number of visitors exceeded 3.1 million, up 2 percent from 2016, while the total economic impact of tourists added up to more than $1.2 billion, up 5.5 percent over 2016.
