Florida Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Noah Valenstein will speak at an Argus Foundation luncheon that runs 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Valenstein's department is responsible for overseeing state parks and trails, public lands and more, safeguarding natural resources and restoring ecosystems. Valenstein was appointed to his post in May by Gov. Rick Scott. The luncheon will take place at the Sarasota Yacht Club, 1100 John Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. Tickets are $35-$45.
