Americans will spend more than ever when they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year, according to new survey results published by the National Retail Federation. Spending is expected to reach $5.3 billion, an all-time high in the survey’s 13-year history. More than 139 million Americans plan to celebrate the holiday and are expected to spend an average of $37.92 per person, up from last year’s $35.37.
