Groundbreaking for New Venice Library Is Monday
The new facility will include a 24,000-square-foot library, a café, a 135-seat meeting room, an outdoor reading garden and more.
Sarasota County is celebrating the groundbreaking of the new Venice Library at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30. The ceremony marks the next phase in the new library's construction process and will feature speakers that include elected officials, county staff, volunteers and William Jervey, who recently donated $1 million for an endowment fund to support the library. The new facility will include a 24,000-square-foot library, a café, a 135-seat meeting room, an outdoor reading garden and more. The library will be located at 300 Nokomis Ave., Venice.
