Sarasota-based Ascentia Development Group, whose principal, Jay Tallman, developed the downtown Sarasota luxury condo tower Beau Ciel and the brand-new Aria condo community on Longboat Key, has announced that it will partner with Atlanta-based Batson-Cook Development Company to build a 24-story luxury condominium tower on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa. There will be 70 residences of about 3,000 square feet each and many upscale amenities, including private elevator lobbies and 24-hour concierge service. The architect is Curts Gaines Hall Jones of Tampa. Reservations will commence in early 2017.

Express Homes, a D.R. Horton Company, last weekend hosted the grand opening of its new Venice community, Rapalo. The gated community of single-family homes features four floor plans ranging from 1,542 to 1,828 square feet, with prices from the low $200,000s. There will be a clubhouse and community pool. Rapalo is located off C.R. 776 just south of Jacaranda Boulevard.
