Linda Eder and Robert Cuccioli, the original stars of Broadway’s Jekyll & Hyde, will take center stage at the Van Wezel at 8 p.m. to perform showstopping songs from the musical, as well as tunes from their individual careers. Tickets are on sale at the Van Wezel box office.
The American Littoral Society’s newest kayak expedition is on the wild and scenic Myakka River at Deer Prairie Creek Preserve, the 6,400-acre Sarasota County nature preserve between Venice and North Port. John Sarkozy leads this trip, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Good Friday. All kayak equipment is included in the $25 fee. Reservations are required; call Sarkozy at (941) 966-7308.
The Easter Bunny pays a visit to Sarasota Jungle Gardens Friday morning, bringing with him thousands of special eggs for a mammoth Easter egg hunt. Other family-friendly activities, too.
