Broadway Stars Linda Eder and Robert Cuccioli reunite at the Van Wezel
Linda Eder and Robert Cuccioli, the original stars of Broadway’s Jekyll & Hyde, will take center stage at the Van Wezel at 8 p.m. to perform showstopping songs from the musical, as well as tunes from their individual careers. Tickets are on sale at the Van Wezel box office.

Kayak Paddle at Deer Prairie Creek Preserve
The American Littoral Society’s newest kayak expedition is on the wild and scenic Myakka River at Deer Prairie Creek Preserve, the 6,400-acre Sarasota County nature preserve between Venice and North Port. John Sarkozy leads this trip, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Good Friday. All kayak equipment is included in the $25 fee. Reservations are required; call Sarkozy at (941) 966-7308.

Jungle Trails & Bunny Trails Easter Event at Sarasota Jungle Gardens
The Easter Bunny pays a visit to Sarasota Jungle Gardens Friday morning, bringing with him thousands of special eggs for a mammoth Easter egg hunt. Other family-friendly activities, too. Children’s admission is half-price (free for children 3 and under) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in honor of the holiday. Be sure to bring your own basket.

Wilde Lexus 2016 Women’s Open USTA pro-circuit event at The Oaks Country Club
Many of the country’s top women tennis players gather at The Oaks Country Club to compete for a $50,000 purse in this annual pro-circuit event, which this year has added three nighttime matches. Tickets start at just $10.
