Ontario-based Vandyk Sarasota-Orange Avenue Inc., a firm specializing in retail shopping malls and multifamily residential development, has purchased vacant lots at 635 S. Orange Ave. and 1619 Alderman St. in downtown Sarasota for $990,000 from MSM South Orange Ltd. The company’s president, John C. Vandyk, is also the developer behind One88, a planned eight-unit building at 182 Golden Gate Point.
