Selby Gardens' 'Queen of the Night' Cactus Will Bloom Soon

One of our favorite nights of the year is almost here: Selby Gardens’ Selenicereus, the spectacular night-blooming cactus that flowers for just one night every year, is getting ready to burst into bloom.
While the bloom date is yet to be determined, Selby Gardens staff says that based on the buds on the cactus, it will happen soon. When the date is confirmed, the public is invited to head to the gardens to watch the Queen of the Night's flowers open from 7-11 p.m. at the Hobart K. Swan and Janis F. Swan Live Oak Arrival Court at Selby's downtown Sarasota campus. The official date will be announced on Selby's social media platforms; viewing will also be available via livestream on the Selby Gardens Facebook page.
