On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Sarasota community will come together in elegance and celebration at The Westin Sarasota for the annual Gratia Gala, Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School’s signature fundraising event. The Gala embodies the Latin word “gratia,” meaning grace and gratitude—two values that define Cardinal Mooney’s mission and spirit. This year’s event promises to be an unforgettable evening featuring a cocktail reception, fine dining, live and silent auctions, and a heartfelt celebration of the people who make the Mooney community thrive. Funds raised through the Gratia Gala directly support student learning, campus enhancements, and faculty development, ensuring that every student can continue to grow in faith, academics, and service.

Faith, Fellowship, and Impact

Since its founding in 1959, Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School has been a cornerstone of Catholic education on Florida’s Gulf Coast—preparing young men and women to serve and lead in their communities and beyond. The Gratia Gala is a continuation of that mission: uniting alumni, parents, faculty, parish partners, and friends in a shared commitment to faith and excellence.

Last year’s Gala raised over $215,000 in support of campus initiatives, including classroom upgrades, technology enhancements, and the development of new academic and athletic programs. The generosity of our sponsors and guests has transformed the school’s facilities and opportunities, allowing students to truly live the Mooney motto, “Together We Thrive.”
