Celebrating Eight Decades of Musical Excellence

Join the Sarasota Concert Association for a season to remember as the organization proudly celebrates its 80th anniversary, marking eight decades of bringing world-class concerts to Sarasota. To commemorate this milestone, the Sarasota Concert Association presents a 2024-25 season filled with extraordinary performances by world-renowned artists and ensembles, including special events to make this an unforgettable season. Sarasota audiences will have the opportunity to experience the artistry of some of the world's most celebrated musicians, orchestras, and vocal ensembles.
The season opens with a special holiday concert as the Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer takes the stage on December 3, 2024. Known globally as "an orchestra of voices," Chanticleer has dazzled audiences with its ethereal sound, performing a repertoire that spans centuries. For this Sarasota performance, the ensemble will enchant the audience with a program of Renaissance, Classical, and popular Yuletide favorites, including a new arrangement of Joy to the World.

On January 15, 2025, the Great Performers Series opens with the artistry of Grammy Award-winning French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, making his Sarasota debut. Renowned for his expressive technique and interpretative depth, Thibaudet will perform Claude Debussy's complete Preludes, Books I and II. This performance will be a journey through diverse, evocative soundscapes, painting vivid scenes and capturing subtle moods.

The world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra returns to Sarasota on January 26, 2025, led by the esteemed conductor Kahchun Wong. Known for its profound sound and technical mastery, The Cleveland Orchestra will perform Mussorgsky's monumental Pictures at an Exhibition. To add to this exhilarating program, violin virtuoso Sayaka Shoji will join the orchestra to perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto. Shoji's fiery interpretation of Beethoven's iconic concerto will showcase her dynamic range alongside one of the world's premier orchestras.

The Sarasota Concert Association’s 2025-26 season also includes the Czech National Symphony Orchestra on February 13, An Evening of Worlds and Music with the extraordinary cellist Yo-Yo Ma on February 27, a 300th anniversary celebration of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons on March 14, and the internationally-acclaimed National Symphony Orchestra featuring violinist Hilary Hahn on March 24.
