The 24-hour Giving Challenge kicked off today at noon and runs through April 10 at noon. More than 700 nonprofit organizations participate in the online giving event, which has provided more than $75 million in unrestricted funding since 2012.  During the previous Giving Challenge in 2022, the community raised $16.2 million in just 24 hours.

The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Giving is strengthened by long-time partner The Patterson Foundation, which offers a 1:1 match on all donations from $25 to up to $100, with no limit on the number of gifts receiving the match.
