Final preparations are underway for the 24-hour Giving Challenge, which kicks off at noon on April 9 and closes at noon April 10. More than 700 nonprofit organizations will participate in the online event, which has provided more than $75 million in unrestricted funding over the course of eight challenges since 2012. During the previous Giving Challenge in 2022, the community raised $16.2 million in just 24 hours.

The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Giving is strengthened by long-time partner The Patterson Foundation, which offers a 1:1 match on all donations from $25 to up to $100, with no limit on the number of gifts receiving the match.
