Presented by Drew Marc Gallery January 3, 2024

The Modern Woman is an art exhibition that features all-new work from four women that are dominating the contemporary art scene. Each of these female artists are instrumental to the Florida art community, and have been highly regarded as some of the best in their craft. The exhibition will be on display through mid-February but the opening reception is a fantastic opportunity to meet the artists, network with other collectors, discover new art, and immerse yourself into an unforgettable contemporary experience.

Andrea Dasha Reich – Waterfall – 60”x48” – Pigmented Resin on Canvas

Andrea Dasha Reich, a favorite from Sarasota, is a powerful influence in the field of modern art. She pioneered painting with resin in the 1990’s and since then her innovations have skyrocketed her to national recognition. The vibrant colors, and movement her pieces inhibit are unlike any other artist using resin. She self-pigments all the shades, maintaining a distinctive and genuinely unique method.

Andrea Dasha Reich – Pink Mott – 48”x48” – Pigmented Resin on Canvas

Michelle Gordon – Sunny Blues 2 – 48”x36” – Oil on Canvas

After returning from a solo show in Paris, France, Michelle Gordon's abstract paintings are becoming more and more popular around the world. Following exhibitions in renowned galleries in Chicago and California, Michelle decided that St. Petersburg was the ideal location for her future artistic endeavors. With colorful shades of blues, greens, and turquoise, let her cool tones bring the beauty of the Gulf Coast into your home or office.

Michelle Gordon – Sapphire Skies – 30”x40” – Oil on Canvas

Maggie Kruger– Evening Afterglow – 16”x20” – Oil on Board

With honors from the American Portrait Society and Oil Painters of America, Maggie Kruger is introducing a wider audience to the tranquility of Florida's coasts. She is a Plein-Air painter who is now redefining the aesthetic of coastal landscapes from her studio in Sarasota, Florida. Her broad experience in figurative painting combined with running a prosperous gallery has made her a national success. Her realistic artwork flawlessly blends cool and warm tones with delicate brushstrokes.

Maggie Kruger– Floating Above the Sea – 40”x30” – Oil on Linen

Blair Vaughn-Gruler– Thought Bubbles – 48”x60” – Oil on Canvas

Blair Vaughn-Gruler uses repetition in her brushstrokes to convey images of a calm juxtaposition. Her repetitive symbols provide a sense of tranquility to their viewers. Her minimalist, non-objective compositions are spatial organization experiments. Even when lines or shapes over repeat themselves, the chaos gives way to peace.

Blair Vaughn-Gruler– Ocular Grammar of Visual Noise – 40”x60” – Oil & Mixed Media on Clayboard

Every second Saturday of the month, Drew Marc Gallery will hold an opening exhibition with works by an increasing number of highly regarded local and national artists. Drew Marc Gallery is open from Thursday through Monday from 11 AM to 6 PM or by appointment.
