Project Pride’s mission is to expand awareness and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community by creating strategic partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and governments toward a shared goal - that all people are supported, celebrated, and united for who they are and to break down barriers to equity and inclusion. Partnerships include ALSO Youth, Asolo Rep, MCC Church, Mothers Helping Mothers, Embracing Our Differences, Sarasota Opera, Second Chance Last Opportunity, and other Pride-related events.
Project Pride SRQ is actively supporting the community in
the following ways:
- ADVOCATING for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community
- SUPPORTING local communities in need
- CREATING public events to unite Sarasota as ONE community
