Since 2019 Sunshine from Darkness has raised funds to provide much-needed funding to local non-profits that provide mental health services in Sarasota County and to research through the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.
The goal of the organization is to help fill the gap in funding for mental health services, provide resources for those with mental health challenges, and fund programs that promote mental health wellness for our youth.
Sunshine from Darkness hosts major events throughout the year, these events serve to bring mental health and addiction awareness, education, and advocacy to the forefront.
