Early years of life are crucially important to the overall development of children and therefore offer unprecedented opportunities to provide experiences that have lifelong positive impact. We envision a future where all children are safe and raised in homes where they are loved, nurtured, and protected. Preventing abuse, neglect and other childhood traumas is at the core of our work. Through parenting education, mental health services, and early childhood education, we provide families with the tools, resources, and support to create environments in which all children can learn, love, and grow.
Since 1993, Forty Carrots Family Center has grown exponentially to meet the needs of our community. We are now serving more than 5,000 clients annually, including our community’s most vulnerable children and families. Forty Carrots believes all families benefit from and deserve access to high quality services regardless of their ability to pay. Therefore 96% of clients receive services at no charge or on a sliding scale. The need for prevention, intervention and treatment services is critical and timely in the face of increasing hardship in our community.
