“I can’t help but thank the Ear Research Foundation from the bottom of my heart. I am being introduced to sounds I have been missing out on for years.” - Pete, Help Us Hear Recipient

Founded in 1979 by Herbert Silverstein, MD, FACS, is a non-profit community foundation dedicated to research, education, and community care for hearing loss and balance disorders. The Foundation is committed to developing innovative micro-surgical procedures, treatments, and techniques for hearing loss and balance disorders. The Foundation provides instruction and support to physicians allowing them to utilize state-of-the-art treatments in their practices. The Foundation also provides public seminars to educate. We offer free hearing screenings and children’s clinics to preschoolers in the local community. Our Help Us Hear program provides free hearing aids to low-income individuals. We provide lectures, webinars, and support groups open to any individual interested.
