For over 43 years, the Child Protection Center (CPC) has been providing  
life-saving services for children who have been victims of child abuse. Serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, our extensive programming brings education, intervention services, and trauma-informed care to heal the hearts of child abuse survivors.

CPC’s Prevention Program empowers children to protect themselves and educates parents, and professionals in the community, on how to identify and report abuse. The Child Protection Team evaluates alleged child abuse and neglect cases, identifies risk factors, and provides recommendations for interventions to Law Enforcement and DCF.

When a child’s safety is at a heightened risk due to parental behaviors, the Supervised Visitation Program provides a neutral, safe place for children to maintain a relationship with both caregivers. CPC’s Therapy Programs provide trauma treatment for children and adult survivors who have experienced sexual or physical abuse.

• Child abuse is a problem. CPC is working towards a solution. Our prevention, intervention, and treatment programs reached 52,800 last year alone.
