Healthy Food For a Healthy Community
All Faiths Food Bank is the only food bank and largest hunger relief organization in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. We collaborate with hundreds of community partners to reach – and help – those who are facing hunger.
While many in the community understand the “right now” aspects of our operations, we are working to end hunger – forever – by helping families and individuals gain long-term food security, enjoy better health outcomes, and achieve self-sufficiency.
We are currently focused on five primary program areas: childhood hunger, food distribution, hunger and health, benefits assistance, and rural hunger. And while that may seem daunting enough, we are also there for those in need in times of crisis, as we have been in recent years through the pandemic, the financial downturn and, of course, Hurricane Ian, from which many Floridians are still recovering.
But we can’t do it alone – we need “hunger heroes” like you to take action. We hope you will join us as we work to end the scourge of hunger … forever!
- We provide 18 million meals each year through robust, data-driven programs and partnerships with hundreds of charitable organizations throughout the community.
- All Faiths also helps families achieve self-sufficiency through services such as client assessments, SNAP benefits and tax assistance, financial literacy, and referrals to other providers.
- The Autumn Harvest campaign – which is currently active – raises funds to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to neighbors struggling with hunger.
- Consider supporting/attending one – or all – of our special events this year: the Autumn Harvest Dinner (Oct. 20), Friends FULL of Giving (Nov. 11) and our biggest community event, Bowls of Hope (Dec. 3).
- September is Hunger Action Month: we invite you to take a stand against hunger by volunteering, fundraising, and donating – food and funds – to help our neighbors who are struggling!
