The mission of the Academy at Glengary Inc., is to create a working community where adults can improve mental health through friendship, healthy lifestyles, skill development, and careers.

Members work side-by-side with staff in a safe environment to achieve their recovery goals. Whether it’s providing Academy tours, producing healthy meals or designing publications, members contribute their talents and skills, and are stakeholders in the success of our mission. In this way, isolation is replaced with community reintegration, goal attainment, and purpose.

Our approach is built upon principles of wellness, focusing on strengths rather than disability. Physical, mental, and social wellbeing go hand-in-hand, and we seek to promote integrated health, based on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
