"Geometric Calmness" A Pop-Up Art Event Presented By 530 Burns Gallery

A modern showcase highlighting artists from New York & Sarasota!

Presented by 530 Burns December 6, 2022

GEOMETRIC CALMNESS IS A CONTEMPORARY EVENT featuring Cutting edge pieces from Matthew Levinson and calming abstracts from Katie Cassidy & Arleen Joseph. This gentle abstract collection highlights sharp lines and soothing brushstrokes designed to leave its viewers stunned.

Matt Levinson - Jemz 6 – 36”x48” - $4800

Levinson favors angular patterns and straight-lined shapes. He has become known for his linear take on abstract paintings. He mixes bold colors to emphasize the composition of each piece and plays with a variety of textures and finishes to create depth in his works. Being from New York, architecture and clean lines are influenced in this latest series.

Katie Cassidy is an artist who has built quite a name for herself in the Sarasota community not only through fine art, but also through yoga. Her inspirations come from the meditative headspace she’s in while practicing yoga. Those feelings are then conveyed onto canvas with soft brush strokes and tones.

Katie Cassody – Rhythms – 40”x40” - $4400

Focusing heavily on combining unlike colors and metallic paints, Arleen Joseph has developed a very special way to blend blue hues with golden metallics. She is an artist who has built quite a name for herself on the east coast. Her latest series explores the aquatic adventure most people feel when they visit Sarasota. Her technique involves painting in many layers. Once a piece is finished, she adds her signature touch of metallic gold paint to add texture and a shine unlike any other. Let her latest abstract pieces make a timeless statement in your home for years to come.

Arleen Joseph – Swirling – 36”x48” - $6000
