Mission: Our mission is to protect the land and water in Southwest Florida for the benefit of people and nature

About Us

  • To date, we have protected more than 18,900 acres across 53 properties – from ranchlands to shorelines – in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier Counties, and surrounding areas.
  • Every dollar raised is leveraged 3.66 times for land conservation, safeguarding our water and land for imperiled wildlife, connecting conserved lands, and providing unique public access.
  • Our Next Gen Conservation programming connects middle and high school-aged at-risk youth to nature, facilitating hundreds of WOW! moments in nature each year; and gets elementary-aged kids outside year-round, immersing them in nature and providing a wide range of benefits for their overall well-being.
  • We welcome all to our beautiful headquarters, Bay Preserve at Osprey, where you can launch kayaks, go fishing, enjoy a sunset picnic, and more!

Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast saves land, forever. Protecting nature for kids and for grown-ups, for wildlife and for waterways. We safeguard those special places that make a difference in all of our lives - giving us clean water to drink, working ranchlands, beautiful natural areas to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, great spots to hike, bike, swim, and fish, and a reason to live, work, and play here on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

But we can't do it without you.

We partner with willing landowners, donors, businesses, various agencies, and local governments to get the job done now, because time is running out. Every day more of our special places are disappearing, but with your support, we can create a future with clean, abundant water, thriving natural communities for plants and animals, and beautiful places for everyone to enjoy. Your gift to Conservation Foundation today protects tomorrow. Join us as we work toward a future where the human and natural worlds flourish together.
