The Players Centre for Performing Arts has played a lead role in growing the Suncoast’s renowned arts and culture industry for 92 years. Being Sarasota’s community theatre means showcasing brilliant local talent to produce spectacular performances that captivate thousands of local and out-of-town patrons annually.

Community theatre is a truly remarkable experience, offering opportunities to anyone yearning for the chance to live out their dreams on stage or behind the scenes. Volunteers, after leaving their daily jobs or classes, drive to The Players Centre, in order to, ultimately, produce high-quality, passion-packed shows—all for the love of live theatre. 

These shared moments create a “family” in that unique way only the performing arts can. The Players Centre is more than an integral part of the community and Florida’s Cultural Coast. It’s the entrance point of it all.
