Under the leadership of Director Iain Webb, Executive Director Joseph Volpe, and Assistant Director Margaret Barbieri, The Sarasota Ballet has grown into an important member of the American ballet world. Receiving international recognition for its artistry, combined with a remarkably diverse and prestigious repertoire of ballets, The Sarasota Ballet has gone from strength to strength.

Offstage, The Sarasota Ballet impacts the community through a myriad of programs including The Sarasota Ballet School, The Margaret Barbieri Conservatory, and the nationally recognized youth program, Dance – The Next Generation. Community engagement has recently expanded through the formation of Joyful Movement Through Parkinson’s and Silver Swans.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Sarasota Ballet presented a fully digital season to ballet patrons around the globe, while maintaining support for their dancers, staff, and students throughout the year.
