Congratulations to E.J., Sarasota Magazine’s September 2020 Incredible Kid! E.J.’s dad, Eric, is so proud of his son, describing him as “a shining example of someone who works hard to flourish against the odds.”

In the face of an autism diagnosis, E.J. has shown incredible strength. His will to succeed despite difficult obstacles to overcome is remarkable. When he falls, he gets right back up and tries again. He works incredibly hard in speech, occupational, and physical therapy. What might come easy to some, E.J. may have to work 10 times harder to master, but he does not give up. E.J. is also passionate about baking and loves to share his culinary creations with family and friends.

The Community Foundation of Sarasota County will award a grant in E.J.’s name to Easterseals Southwest Florida, an organization that holds a special place in the hearts of E.J. and his family. And—as if this kid weren’t incredible enough—E.J. has asked to donate his visit from The Chill Mobile, Sarasota’s grooviest ice cream truck, to Easterseals so that more people will be able to share in this super fun experience.
