- April 10, 2021 at 6 p.m. to “Come Sail Away” at our annual outdoor Evening Under the Stars celebration on SCF’s Venice Campus. Enjoy a night of music featuring the SCF Big Jazz Band, The POPS Orchestra and a Fins at Sharky’s catered dinner followed by spectacular fireworks display. Making higher education possible.
The State College of Florida Foundation, founded in 1978, is focused on supporting and creating higher education opportunities for the region’s youth. Last year, thanks to generous donors, friends and alumni, $1.8 million was dispersed to over 1,400 scholarship recipients and over $1.5 million was raised for program enhancements, equipment and capital projects.
Your donation to the Foundation is a direct investment in a student and his or her future with a lifelong return on investment. As a supporter, you will receive regular reports and life-changing letters that demonstrate your impact, such as Mackenzie’s.

I was born with hearing loss and have spent my whole life wearing hearing aids. Additionally, speech and language were difficult for me, so I spent many years with speech pathologists. My parents taught me to work hard and never give up, so I have never let my hearing and languages interfere in my life. I graduated in May from Riverview High School where I played the flute in the Kiltie Band. Additionally, I performed with a group of students called Helping Hands of Harmony that performed at local nursing homes.
