Born on Long Island, New York, Dori moved to Bradenton in 1984 and graduated from Manatee Community College with a B.A. in Computer Science and Programming. In 1984, she established Access Direct Mail, Inc. and is a female minority owner of the private corporation.

Access Direct Mail was strictly a letter shop facility when it first started, outsourcing all print and graphic work. After six successful years, Dori purchased her first offset press. From there, all orders were printed and mailed in-house, but the company still sent out its graphic design projects. In 1990, Dori attended night classes at Ringling School of Art in graphic design and moved all design work in-house. Access Direct Mail began to grow in business, revenue and staff, and became a one-stop shop, becoming the only facility to provide direct mail marketing from conceptual design to the final mailed marketing campaign.

From the beginning, Dori has looked at everything from her business, her employees, the facilities, the equipment and the technology used day-to-day as “an investment to secure the footing for Access Direct Mail.” As such, she has been a firm believer in staying up to date on equipment, investing in the latest technology and even assisting other mailers and printers with projects that extended beyond their capabilities. The company’s latest purchase took Access Direct Mail from sheet feed presses to roll feed (Screen Truepress Jet520HD). This is the latest technology in one-pass print and variable data, along with Hunkeler finishing gear.
