“Put yourself on the top of your to-do list.”

Presented by Sarasota Institute of Plastic Surgery August 31, 2020

I’m often asked why I chose plastic surgery as a specialty. The youngest of six children, from the beginning I always had ambition and put 100 percent into my studies. Already knowing I wanted to be a surgeon from a young age, I loved anything I could do with my hands. When I was in high school one of my sisters was diagnosed with breast cancer; she was only 36. Watching her strength as she battled cancer further inspired me to want to be a listening ear, guiding light and shoulder to lean on for other women. After completing medical school at Jefferson in Philadelphia I continued my training with five years of general surgery residency at Lehigh Valley in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and an additional three years of plastic surgical training at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio, to hone my craft. In 2017 I was recruited into Lakewood Ranch to help build their breast center program. Plastic and reconstructive surgery is a way to restore form and function whether you are recovering from cancer, childbirth, massive weight loss, or simply wanting to look as young as you feel. I offer a wide array of procedures from facelift and eyelid rejuvenating surgery to mommy makeovers, breast lift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, thigh lift and liposuction, and can tailor a plan to meet your goals. What sets me apart is my attention to detail, genuine commitment to my patients, and friendly smile— which you can see again whenever masks are a thing of the past! Looking forward to meeting you.
