The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center
Mission: To be the leader of a collaborative community providing high-quality, accessible facilities and resources for the local human services nonprofit sector.
“THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN A COMMUNITY DEPENDS UPON THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF ITS PEOPLE.”—DR. KAY GLASSER, FOUNDER
When Dr. Glasser moved to Sarasota in the 1970s, she fell in love with the area’s gorgeous beaches and vibrant cultural amenities, as so many of us have. But she saw that poverty, addiction and homelessness limited many people from maintaining the healthy quality of life that makes our region great. She believed it was possible to build a campus collective to help improve the quality of life for all people in Sarasota and Manatee. Now celebrating its 30th year, the “Campus of Caring” is a mainstay for human needs in our community. With five acres, 14 buildings and 20 human services nonprofits, the campus collectively serves over 26,000 individuals in need every year. Call us for a tour and improve the community you love.
