Mission: We raise funds to support the students and faculty of New College of Florida, a nationally recognized institution of higher learning that educates intellectually curious students for lives of great achievement.
NEW COLLEGE IS THE HONORS COLLEGE OF FLORIDA. Founded in 1960 in Sarasota, New College of Florida is a public, residential four-year college that offers 35 majors in mathematics, natural sciences, humanities, arts, and social sciences, and a graduate program in data science. Students pursue an academically rigorous curriculum in small classes while taking advantage of numerous opportunities for undergraduate research and experiential learning options on and off campus. As a result, our alumni have achieved careers of great distinction in the sciences, law, government, research, medicine, education and business. Although we are a public college, state funding covers only a portion of what is needed to preserve New College as an exemplary institution. The Foundation raises private funds through philanthropy, providing over $2 million annually for student scholarships, faculty and student research, academic excellence, and campus improvements.
