Donte's Den: a community of joyful dogs!

Donte's Den is the realization of the long-time dream of Marsha Panuce and her late husband, Don, to establish a community of joyful dogs that have been separated from their family. The couple started the nonprofit foundation after considering what would happen to their own dogs when they were no longer able to take care of them. They named it Donte's Den after one of their beloved standard Schnauzers.

The foundation offers multiple programs for dogs in need, such as Lifetime Care, Semper Paw Military program, Joyful Dogs Adoption program, Extended Care and Boarding.

  • Lifetime Care provides dogs whose owners can no longer be with them a loving home for life, with the assurance that the pups are cared for exactly as they are accustomed, after their owners are gone.
  • The Semper Paw Military program provides care to the dogs of our deployed military personnel while they serve our country and first responders and civil servants who may be experiencing hard times.
  • The Joyful Dogs Adoption program provides loving care to abandoned or surrendered dogs and searches for the “perfect fit” forever home.
  • Extended Care provides care for the dogs whose owners can't be there due to illness. While some owners can leave their pets with friends and family, others cannot. Donte's Den offers short or long-term care for dogs, while owners recover.

Every dog at Donte’s Den gets heartfelt personal attention and unconditional care, not to mention lots of hugs and treats, too! Taking love one step further, Donte's Den has also created a memorial garden in remembrance for dogs who have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge, giving owners a peaceful place to cope with their loss.

Donte’s Den gives owners a peace of mind by offering state-of-the-art facilities, such as the homelike, cozy den accommodations and a full veterinary hospital, where dogs can receive quality medical care. Located in the pristine countryside, there are more than 50 acres for canine companions to run and play on. After play, dogs can also take a swim and cool off in the salt water, bone-shaped hydrotherapy pool.

To house and feed and care for every pup that comes to us is no small feat. We need your support so that we can continue the care and operation of each program. Whether it is a one-time donation or on-going support, Donte's Den is actively looking for partners.

We need your support to CONTINUE THE LOVE.
