The Sarasota County Commission on Tuesday directed the county attorney to begin negotiations with interim county administrator Jonathan Lewis to hire Lewis as the next county administrator.
The Sarasota County Commission voted to designate assistant county administrator Jonathan Lewis as interim administrator after current administrator Tom Harmer leaves the job.
The plan calls for improving existing parks around the city and positioning the city as an ecotourism destination, with opportunities for paddling, hiking and swimming.
