HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital has named Maria Caruso its chief financial officer.

Nucleus Security has named Robert "Bob" Costello, former chief information officer of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, as strategic advisor for public sector and critical infrastructure. Costello currently serves as chief digital and information officer at Merlin Group.

Sarasota Paradise has announced the signing of forward Emiliano Terzaghi, a three-time USL League One MVP and the league's all-time leading goalscorer, from Portland Hearts of Pine.

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort has announced the appointment of Troman Felizmenio as executive pastry chef. Felizmenio, a two-time silver medalist at both the 2024 IKA Culinary Olympics and the 2022 Culinary World Cup, will oversee the resort’s pastry program across its dining venues.

The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) awarded the Sarasota Police Department reaccreditation status last week during its meeting in Orlando.  The reaccreditation remains valid with CFA for the next three years.

Sarasota County Schools has announced that Dr. Michelle Anderson, currently the district's director of secondary curriculum, will serve as the principal of Riverview High School. Erin Haughey, currently the principal of Riverview High School, will replace Anderson as the district's director of secondary curriculum. 

Suncoast Technical College has earned national accreditation from the American Boat & Yacht Council through the Marine Trades Accreditation Program.
