Hugh Culverhouse Jr.'s matching challenge helps sustain cultural programming at museums, community organizations and libraries statewide.

Attorney, businessman and philanthropist Hugh Culverhouse Jr.’s $350,000 matching challenge to Florida Humanities has spurred $707,938 in contributions to sustain cultural programming at museums, libraries and community organizations statewide. Combined with his support to humanities councils in other states, Culverhouse’s total giving to humanities programs now exceeds $1 million.

The Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation is celebrating what would have been the late philanthropist's 100th birthday with the award of its 100 millionth dollar in grant funding.

The State College of Florida Foundation has been awarded a $62,555 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to support enhancements to its nursing program.
