The Exchange Awards $450,000 in Grants and Scholarships

Plus, Tidewell Foundation receives a $350,000 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation, and more.

The Exchange (formerly the Woman’s Exchange) announced it had awarded $450,000 to 26 regionally based arts and cultural organizations and 11 high school and college students. 

The Tidewell Foundation has been awarded a $350,000 grant from Bishop-Parker Foundation to support Empath LIFE, part of Empath Health’s statewide network delivering full life care to seniors.  

CareerEdge, the workforce development initiative led by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, has been awarded a $150,000 grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

The Women’s Resource Center has been awarded $85,000 in grant funding from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to expand access to mental health care, strengthen community navigation services, and elevate the voices of women our region.

Bishop-Parker Foundation has awarded a $35,000 grant to Parenting Matters will continue to serve hundreds of Manatee County families—from Anna Maria Island to Myakka City—in its Parent Partner and Chosen Families Programs through 

Farmhouse Animal & Nature Sanctuary was awarded a $50,000 grant from Bishop-Parker Foundation to complete repairs caused by Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Milton. 

The Florida Center for Early Childhood’s Starfish Academy recently received a $17,280 grant from United Way Suncoast. The center also received a $7,500 grant from the Edward K. Roberts Emerging Needs Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

A $42,000 grant from the Leslie and Margaret Weller Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County will help the Florida Center for Early Childhood is launching a new school-based mental health program at Innovation Academy SRQ, a public charter school serving students in grades VPK–5th grade.

Caldwell Trust Company, has made a $10,000 contribution to the Family First Institute.

Sarasota County Fire Department recently received a $39,982 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
