Mote Receives $250,000 for Strategic Snook Stock Enhancement Initiative

Plus, the Bishop-Parker Foundation awards $345,000 in animal welfare grants to eight Manatee County nonprofits, and more.

Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium received a $250,000 check—funds allocated in this year's state budget—in support of its Strategic Snook Stock Enhancement Initiative, a program that recently released 28,000 juvenile snook throughout Sarasota County estuaries.

The Bishop-Parker Foundation awarded $345,000 in animal welfare grants to eight Manatee County nonprofits, supporting everything from affordable veterinary care and pet food distribution to coastal bird conservation.

The Bishop-Parker Foundation also recently awarded Forty Carrots a $75,000 grant to address the rising mental health needs of children and families in Manatee County.

SRQ Strong recently received a $21,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to provide mental health and trauma support for pregnant and postpartum teens in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The Women’s Resource Center has received a $25,000 grant from the Truist Foundation to support its Pathways to Success program.

The Bishop-Parker Foundation awarded Parenting Matters$35,000 grant for its Parent Partner and Chosen Families Programs.
