Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties will honor Larry Thompson, president of Ringling College of Art and Design, and Heather Kasten, president and CEO of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, at its 19th IPG Leadership Breakfast.

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center has been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgeries and a Blue Distinction Center for knee and hip replacements by Florida Blue, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center also received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2025. It is one of only 323 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.
