Bishop-Parker Foundation Contributes $100,000 to Season of Sharing

Plus, grants to Safe Children Coalition, Family Initiative and Choral Artists of Sarasota.

The Bishop-Parker Foundation has contributed $100,000 to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County's Season of Sharing initiative, to be directed to Manatee County residents affected by the recent hurricanes.

The Bishop-Parker Foundation has announced a $100,000 contribution to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s Season of Sharing initiative, to be directed to Manatee County residents in need.

Safe Children Coalition was awarded two grants, totaling $70,000, from the Florida Disaster Assistance Fund ($50,000) and Gulf Coast Community Foundation ($20,000) to assist area children, families and SCC employees in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 

Gov. Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis recently awarded $50,000 to Family Initiative to provide a safe space and resources with its first-of-its-kind sensory trailer for families and children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Choral Artists of Sarasota recently received multiple grants, totaling more than $72,000, which will help expand the nonprofit’s 2024-2025 programming. The awarded grants include $25,000 from the Community Foundation of Sarasota's Huisking Family Fund, McCauley-Brown Fund and John J. Weiss Memorial Fund; $6,000 from The Exchange; and a $41,114 Tourist Development Cultural/Arts grant.
