FST Receives $2 Million Gift to Support Arts Plaza Project

Plus, USF receives a $1 million estate gift and CareerEdge receives a $150,000 grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

Florida Studio Theatre recently announced announce that Cheryl Gorelick and Jake Zeigler made a gift of $2 million toward its new Arts Plaza project.

Florida Studio Theatre also recently announced that the State of Florida included $1 million in its new budget to support FST’s efforts to provide workforce housing in the Arts Plaza.

The University of South Florida today announced a $1 million estate gift that will provide scholarships to students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The gift comes from Steven Tauber, a longtime faculty member and current vice provost for faculty administration, and his wife, Meghan. The Tauber Endowed Scholarship will support students in the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, with preference for those majoring in political science or international studies.

CareerEdge, the workforce development initiative led by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, has been awarded a $150,000 grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation

Embracing Our Differences has been awarded a $6,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to launch a Parent Advisory Council. This initiative is designed to enhance communication with parents and gain insights for Embracing Our Difference's educational programming.
