Conservation Foundation Receives $20,000 Grant from REI Cooperative Action Fund

Plus, Coke Florida donates laptops to Visible Men Academy for Black History Month, and more.

The Florida Center for Early Childhood recently received a grant to help purchase furnishings for two Starfish Academy classrooms for two- and three-year-olds.

Sarasota Orchestra has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Bishop Parker Foundation. This funds will help advance Sarasota Orchestra’s mission by supporting Manatee County students’ participation in the Sarasota Youth Orchestras (SYO) program.

Senior Friendship Centers recently received a $50,000 gift from the Church of the Redeemer to invest in the technology needs of older adults in Desoto County.

The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from the REI Cooperative Action Fund. Distributed in two $10,000 increments over two years, the grant will support the Conservation Foundation’s ongoing work to create meaningful opportunities for individuals from all walks of life to engage and connect with the natural world.

Visible Men Academy recently received a donation of 18 laptops, valued at $9,000, from Coke Florida as part of Coke's Black History Month programming.

The Circus Arts Conservatory recently raised $400,000 in support of its signature youth training, education and outreach programs at its Royal Gala.

A $10,000 grant from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation brings The Florida Center for Early Childhood Education closer to the total cost of just over $50,000 needed to purchase furnishings for two Starfish Academy classrooms (for two- and three-years olds) on its Sarasota and North Port campuses.
