Academy at Glengary Chosen as Sarasota Subaru’s Hometown Charity

Plus, developer Hugh Culverhouse Jr. donates $100,000 to the Sarasota County Comprehensive Treatment Court and more.

Developer and attorney Hugh Culverhouse Jr. has contributed $100,000 to the Sarasota County Comprehensive Treatment Court (CTC) this year, ensuring the 2023 program is fully funded. CTC is a mental health diversion program implemented in the local courts that helps move individuals who commit non-violent offenses suffering from mental health disorders out of the jails and into treatment programs.

The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County (ELC) has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Bishop Parker Foundation to support the ELC's Spot On Program. 

The Academy at Glengary, Inc. was selected once again as the hometown charity for Sarasota Subaru’s “Share the Love” event. On July 18, Subaru presented academy member Alyssa Montans and executive director William McKeever with a check for $11,871

The Education Foundation of Sarasota County has received a grant of $10,000 from Bank of America to support PLANit Sarasota’s work to create more opportunities for underserved youth to pursue education after high school.

Neal Communities donated $15,000 to Venice MainStreet to sponsor its Friday night concert series and marketing efforts. This is the second consecutive year that the homebuilder has supported the popular entertainment series in downtown Venice.

Caldwell Trust Company recently announced the selection of the Tidewell Foundation as the recipient of organization's annual $5,000 donation
