S-One Labels & Packaging has announced Sharon Beeman as its new vice-president of global sales

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium has welcomed back Kaitlyn Fusco as marketing and public relations manager. Fusco previously held the role of public relations manager from 2015-2017; in her new role, Fusco is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Mote’s marketing and communications strategy. 

Ellie Mental Health—a national franchise company seeking to lower barriers to mental healthcare and destigmatize mental illness—has hired Barbara Byrne as clinic director. Byrne will lead Ellie Mental Health's Bradenton office, with plans to hire up to 12 therapists in the next year.

St. Petersburg-based BayFirst National Bank has named Bradenton native Charles Conoley to the newly created position of VP, USDA Rural Development Lending Officer, charged with overseeing and further developing the bank’s efforts to meet the lending needs of businesses located in rural areas across the country 

The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) honored the memory of Sarasota County Judge DeFuria for his work benefiting victims of child abuse. On March 12, 2013, DeFuria signed a motion that allowed pet therapy animals in the court room to bring comfort to children taking the stand against their abuser. This motion provided immediate support for the clients of the Child Protection Center, enabling them to have a therapy dog from CPC’s PAWS (Pet Advocates Working in the Suncoast) program while in court.  

Sarasota County Schools recently announced that Jenn Greenan has been selected as the district’s overall 2023 School-Related Employee of the Year.  Greenan serves as the administrative assistant to the principal of Brentwood Elementary School.

PGT Innovations, the Venice-based manufacturer of windows, doors, and garage doors, was named to Forbes' 2023 list of Best Small Companies for the third year in a row. 

Sarasota Yacht Club has announced it has been selected as a Platinum Club of America—one of only 30 yacht clubs in the country to earn the distinction from the Club Leaders Forum. Platinum recognition is given to the top 5 percent of private clubs. Sarasota Yacht Club ranked No. 14 in the U.S., up two spots from its previous ranking.   

The Interior Design Society (IDS) recently introduced its elected 2023 board members. Jesse White (Sarasota Architectural Salvage) has been named president; Gail Forest (Gail Forest Design), vice-president; Catherine Ceballos (Home and Design); treasurer; Karen Kaiser (Kirsch), secretary; Nicholas Ferris (Nicholas Ferris Photography), media chair; and Norman Rosenberg (Rosenberg Interior Technologies), Bob Hite (The Granite Place) and John Denke (La Casa Tile) as members-at-large.

All Star Children’s Foundation recently named a new member to its board of directors: Byron Shinn. Shinn is a partner with Carr, Riggs & Ingram CPAs and Advisors. He brings 42 years of public accounting experience to the All Star team. 

Four regional nonprofit organizations have joined Margin & Mission Ignition, an entrepreneurial opportunity from The Patterson Foundation designed to build organizational capacity, boost revenue and strengthen mission impact. During a 30-month process, the organizations participating in Margin & Mission Ignition will work to develop and implement earned-income plans to generate revenue that will help sustain and enhance their efforts in our community. The latest class of organizations includes Art Center Sarasota, NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties, Sarasota Opera and Save Our Seabirds.
