The Hermitage Artist Retreat has recently received seven significant grants, totaling more than $220,000, that will support a variety of programs and initiatives, including the impact of Hermitage Fellows in the region, program accessibility, and organizational communications. Grants were received from the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Frank E. Duckwall Foundation, The Exchange, Florida Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

ALSO Youth is expanding its programming in Manatee County with the addition of a new permanent youth center near downtown Bradenton. The new center will be under renovation starting Oct. 1, with some activities scheduled throughout the winter and a grand opening slated for January 2023. The permanent space is funded through a private donation from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, and, as with all other ALSO Youth programming, all activities and services will be provided at no cost to youth.

Tidewell Foundation announced it has received a $40,000 grant from the McCune Family Foundation to support Tidewell's Blue Butterfly program. The grant supports Tidewell Hospice’s Blue Butterfly program, which is grief support designed for children and teens, ages 5 to 18, after the death of a special person in their life. This is an evidenced-based program that helps children and teens, and their caregivers, navigate their grief in a healthy way.
