Second Heart Homes, Inc. has named Athyna Smith its director of operations. Prior to joining Second Heart Homes, Smith served as director of rapid rehousing for Jewish Family & Children’s Services of the Suncoast. She also recently served on the Continuum of Care Leadership Council for the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness. As a council member, she guided and coordinated the Sarasota-Manatee community’s policies, strategies and activities toward ending homelessness. She holds a bachelor of arts in criminology from the University of South Florida.
