The Community Foundation of Sarasota County has announced the promotion of a longtime staff member, the hire of a development professional, and the acceptance of a vice-president into a national fellowship.

Ranata Reeder, vice-president of knowledge and equity, has joined the 2021-2022 class of the Hull Fellows Leadership Program, a philanthropic leadership development program of Philanthropy Southeast. Julie Avins, who joined the foundation in 2015, has assumed the role of director of accounting; she was previously senior accountant. Laurie Scott has been appointed as philanthropic advisor. She will work with donors to help them achieve their philanthropic goals through charitable investments.
