Manatee County School District superintendent Cynthia Saunders recently announced two new administrative appointments, including a new principal for Palmetto High School and a new director of secondary curriculum. Both appointments will take effect on July 1, 2021.

Monica DeLesline has been named the next principal at Palmetto High; she was previously assistant principal at Palmetto High and Braden River High. Dr. Laurie Breslin has been named the director of secondary curriculum for the school district. Dr. Breslin is currently the principal of Sarasota Middle School, where she has served since 2018. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at Booker High School from 2017 to 2018 and at Palmetto High and Manatee High.
