Manatee County Schools Fills Three Senior Leadership Positions

The roles include a new deputy superintendent of instructional services, a new chief operations officer and a new director of construction services.

The Manatee County School District has filled three senior leadership positions, including a new deputy superintendent of instructional services, a new chief operations officer and a new director of construction services.

Dr. Daniel J. Evans will become the school district’s new deputy superintendent of instructional services, replacing Genelle Zoratti Yost, who is resigning at the end of June. Evans is currently the executive director for assessment, accountability and research for Pinellas County Schools

Joseph A. Ranaldi will become the school district’s new chief operations officer, effective July 1, 2021. Ranaldi was previously executive director of operations for Seminole County Schools.

William Horton has been named the new director of construction services, effective May 24, 2021. Horton replaces Jane Dreger, who served as director of construction services for the School District of Manatee County until February 2021.
